Martial Arts: 
Kickboxing, Freestyle Martial Arts, Kali weapons and all aspects of self-defence in a fully matted Martial Arts centre.
 
With plenty of bags and a regulation size ring for sparring, we can tailor your sessions to suit your needs and skills. We focus on the core-skills right from the start so you get the benefit of learning the skills and being active and get to relieve the stresses of daily life on the kick bags!
You can also progress through a fully graded kickboxing system to Pro Level 10 or Martials Arts Syllabus to Black Belt and beyond!
 
Steve is a highly qualified and experienced kickboxer, and martial arts practitioner,  having graded to Kickboxing Pro-Level 10 and completed a gruelling 30 rounds of sparring in 2009 and is a 3rd Dan Black belt martial artist, currently in training for his 4th Dan.
Healthy and fun for the whole family
Kickboxing is a great way to get heart healthy too! 
Kickboxing provides an overall cardiovascular workout that aids in weight loss. It helps to tone the whole body through a series of punching and kicking drills and combinations. You get a cardio and resistance workout at the same time.
Kickboxing for men and women is a total-body exercise that will work the entire body and not just target areas. Kickboxing will strengthen, tone and reduce fat all at the same time. Since kickboxing is a total-body workout, you will also increase flexibility, burn calories, improve coordination and increase cardiovascular fitness. 

All training is tailored to suit your skills and abilities so it is a suitable activity for all age groups. 
It is one of the few activities the whole family can be actively involved in together so you can be a positive role model for your children, share quality time with them and get great health benefits for yourself as well.
And as you become more proficient and confident with your skills, many women, especially find the self defence aspect of kickboxing and other martial arts very re-assuring.

Benefits of Kickboxing 
Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination
Perhaps the most immediate benefit of kickboxing is an increase in the boxer's dexterity and hand-eye coordination. The target training exercises used in kickboxing are designed to increase both the efficiency and accuracy of your strikes and attacks, benefiting your ability to coordinate your eyes to your hands and feet. Your peripheral vision is also enhanced giving you a better awareness of your surroundings at all times. The benefits of increased dexterity range include better coordination while driving or operating machinery, and better quicker response in a threat situation.
Invest in your confidence, self-esteem and be aware of your surroundings.
Strength Training 
Strength training accounts for a significant amount of the exercises used in kickboxing training: abdominal and core muscle groups, arm, chest and back muscles are all utilised during kickboxing training. The benefits of increased body strength is more than the ability to lift or carry heavier loads; building spine and leg strength is very important to create a sturdy body frame and can reduce the risk of injury during an accident or physical trauma. 

Confidence and Self-Esteem 
Even if you feel relatively confident about yourself when you start a kickboxing course, as you become more proficient, your level of calm and self-assurance will improve. 
Most people when attacked or approached with force would "freeze" or be very compliant but the kickboxing student has learned how to respond in a conflict scenario. 
And of course, as your skills develop you have a responsibility to only use those skills in the training situation or in the case of self defence. Though you have some skills you must remember that those skills are no guarantee of protection, but can go some way to affording you some protection in a dangerous situation. In short, kickboxing students develop a level of self-esteem that carries over into other aspects of their life such as their social and professional relationships.
